Fast-growing, profitable, venture backed Insurtech seeking a Accounting Managerto help manage the day-to-day accounting responsibilities for the Company. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will take on a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial and banking data.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support day-to-day accounting functions.
• Review month-end closing tasks, including the booking of operational accruals to ensure all activities have been accounted for and assisting with higher complexity items.
• Support the day-to-day treasury process, including the initiation or approval of various payment types.
• Review weekly/monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the management team.
• Prepare annual audit working papers and liaise with external audit team.
• Support reporting to senior creditors and private equity sponsor.
• Support pricing and cost initiatives on current and future commercial strategies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting preparation and perform variance analysis to actual results.
• Completing projects as assigned and ad hoc reporting.

What We Are Looking For:

• CPA designation with bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related field.
• Experience in a similar accounting role, preferably 5-7 years.
• Accuracy and timeliness of performed activities.
• Aptitude in problem-solving.
• Comfortable learning new technology systems as needed.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to different scenarios and ways of working.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer-oriented and team-based environment.
• Professional experience with NetSuite or similar is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
